He'll be linked everywhere from now on :(

Cant see the spoiler btw

Zi, hows joe cole doing these days? Im going to guess terribly. Also I hear gourcuffs not playing for lyon as hes rubbish now, everytime Ive seen him he's been amazing though, reckon it'd be worth liverpool having a look? Could do with some creativity and ability.

No idea really. My life has been reduced to work, sleep, looking after kids and raging at the tripe football I rearrange my weekend around at the expense of quite a lot of matrimonial griefing.

I really need to sleep.

Without having to wake up at 6h30 the next day.

Please let the second part of this be wrong: :nervous:

It is usually Arsenal who are associated with moves for unheralded rising stars, but The Sun claims this morning that Arsene Wenger will break that pattern and make the first move for Clint Dempsey.

The Fulham attacker, 29, has had his best season in domestic football, scoring 23 goals for his club.

With Dempsey stalling on a new deal at Craven Cottage and having no shortage of suitors, The Sun reckons Wenger will look to steal a march on his rivals by bidding early.

But the Mirror insists that Liverpool are still favourites to sign Dempsey, with the idea of signing an American star appealing to the club’s US owners.

Doesn't have to be a newspaper to be a scary suggestion.

Why wouldn't he fit in our team?

Why wouldn't we want him?

Why do I even care anymore?

Isn't he 29? We'll need a replacement Dirk as the big game scorer. I like Demspey.

Is there any reason for us to buy him? Really?

No.

I dont think he'd fit in because we need a goalscorer (yes he scores but not enough) and you aint gonna drop suarez for him

I think Dempsey would be a good signing. Versatile - can play wide left/right or behind a striker.

Part of the problem with Dirk would be the sheer lack of game time this season.

Also if Jordan Henderson came in and started playing over me I'd probably do as little as possible when I did get on the pitch.

He's not even 5% the player Dirk is

id definitely have dempsey, hed be better than what we have on either wing most of the time and could be a backup striker too

as long as its a reasonably priced deal and not a 'were pinning our hopes on getting back to the elite of european football on 25m clint dempsey!' style deal

Barmby's just lost his job at Hull, maybe worth an offer...
