Of course, but it still just masks over the problems that Chelsea have got. Maybe Di Matteo will be great for them, but I think it would be a big risk to put him in charge full time.

True enough, I agree with you, but more because tactically he hasn't done anything bar rely on Drogba and Ramires

Glad Chelsea win.
Now comes the fun part - Spurs fucked.
However let's take a long hard look at Chelsea now:
Drogba leaves
Torres becomes the main striker? I think not.
Chelsea will have to completely change their game if Drogba leaves. This will mean an enormous overhaul + Capello is a shoe in.
About Cahill: he is a good CB who is going to be better and better.
Turned it off once Chelsea won - meant I could enjoy it without seeing Terry.
Me = win!

Torres has been bitching to Ballague in the immediate aftermath saying how unhappy he's been this year, quite interesting.
But yes, lolspurs. Only downside is that Modric might be more inclined to go to Man U now and he'd go a long way to overhauling their crappy midfield at last.. Dunno where Bale might wanna go.

I'll be honest, Modric at United wouldn't improve them that much.
In the last 3 seasons for Spurs his combined goals/assists haven't been more than 10
That's obviously not the be all and end all, but for United I think they need someone more combative, not that he's too weak or any of that nonsense for the league, but they'd benefit more from Tiote than Modric IMO

Modric would be a good Scholes replacement. They'd probably still need a runner/tackler alongside him though.

Yeah I think they need both
and tbh those stats show more that sometimes stats arent an accurate reflection of a footballers contribution rather than a slight on modric, he has been brilliant, alonso used to get pretty crap stats too iirc
both players are the type that do the pass that leads to the assist if you nahmean

The best thing about Modric was that description of him as looking like a small boy who's dressed up as a witch.

I hate him.
We should absolutely take a punt on torres - here, have 5 million.
Suarez, Carroll, Torres
Gerrard, henderson, lucas
enrique, skittles, agger, johnson
pepe
replace leaving players with whoever.

torres right wing is mental, i really would like to resign him but we'd have to make him the main striker again
also he has silly wages now, i bet as much as hes desperate to play again he doesnt take a paycut and stays at chelsea on the bench

Chelsea seem to be playing him where we played Gerrard when he was with us.
I'm genuinely happy things haven't worked out for him.
