well liverpool did well, we're beastly at set pieces & O.G's this year, bit more creative yesterday but then it was lower league opposition so not going to get carried away

Yeah I think the Downing reaction is abit OTT.. basically he went around a shit defender from the Championship

Nice finish from Carroll though. And not like it is bad that Downing did well, just everything in perspective.

It was nice to see him go round the defender because in the premiership its not like he fails to do it, he doesnt even try which is annoying

I wonder if the problem is our defenders in training. Perhaps he runs and them and gets owned every time so loses confidence?

So you are saying there was a point to Konchesky after all, it was to make our forwards feel good about themselves?
