I dont think thats really right to compare him flat out statistically with a man who's been managing at wigan.
To compare rafa to some out of work managers who've had similar jobs than his rather than wigan, Ranieri also has a win % of around 50% when at decent clubs, Capellos is nearly 60%. Rijkaard 52%.
Now ask why should rafa jump that queue when in the past 3 years he has basically been very bad, taking a club from 2nd to 7th, and the european champions and a team that had been comfortably winning the league every year down to mid table.
As for personality issues - fallen out at every club hes managed iirc, including this one possibly including players and staff who are still here, instant issues whereas with AVB it might just be the whole terrylamparddrogba thing who knows.
This is a lot more negative on rafa than I actually feel, I think if he hasnt 'lost it' as it appeared during his final 18 months of management over the past 3 years, and he's prepared to change a bit (less caution, less falling out with everybody, more acceptance of whatever the budget is and whatever the role he agreed to when he signed the contract is) then he could be great, but its as much of a risk as anyone else on the list I think.

Yeah, if you take the de boer example, itd look so bad for him to come over to liverpool trying to get the job and then having to go back with his tail between his legs if he failed. Not so bad for martinez as its wigan but apart from that its hard for any of the others in jobs to essentially risk it a bit.

I really think kennys reign has ruled rafa out
surely now the last thing they want to do is appoint another used to be good a few years ago fan favourite manager, especially when their popularity is very poor at the moment and rafa is so known for battling with the owners of the club, if Rafa comes in and starts having a go at them it could send fan discontent towards FSG from mild whinging to SOS stylee again.
Im not sure it'll go on too long, I think theyll throw loads of money at someone soon enough

torres right wing is mental, i really would like to resign him but we'd have to make him the main striker again
also he has silly wages now, i bet as much as hes desperate to play again he doesnt take a paycut and stays at chelsea on the bench
